Terms of Use
Last updated November 3, 2026
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Enki Studios, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we”, “us”), about the Stamp app (“Stamp - Travel Map”) for iPhone and iPad, its widgets, the Friends service and usestamp.app.
By using Stamp you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Purchases are also covered by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If these terms and the Apple EULA disagree about Stamp, these terms apply, except where the Apple EULA gives you more rights.
What Stamp is
Stamp is a travel passport. It finds the countries and places you’ve been from your photos and your location, on your device, and gives you a stamp for each. It colours them in on a world map, and lets you make cards to share. With Friends, you can send postcards with voice notes to people you invite.
Who can use Stamp
- You can use Stamp’s passport at any age the App Store allows.
- Friends is for people aged 13 or older, or older where the law where you live requires it.
- You may not use Friends if we’ve closed your account before, or if the law forbids you from using it.
Your passport
Your passport, stamps, trips and wishlist are stored only on your device. We don’t have a copy. Keep your device backed up if you want to keep them: if your device is lost or the app is deleted without a backup, we can’t get them back. You can export your passport at any time from the app.
Stamp works out places from photo and location data. It can be wrong, and some photos have no location.
Friends accounts
- You sign in to Friends with Apple or with Google. Apple and Google are separate Stamp accounts.
- Use a display name that’s yours to use. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
- You’re responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your device and your Apple or Google account secure.
- Only people you invite, or whose invite you accept, can send you postcards. Anyone you give your invite link to can see your display name.
No objectionable content
When you set up Friends, you agree to these terms “including no objectionable content”. These are the rules for everything you put into Friends: your display name, your profile photo, your postcards, your notes and your voice notes.
Don’t send or post anything that:
- is sexual, pornographic or sexually suggestive, or involves a minor in any sexual way;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- is hateful, or attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age;
- shows or encourages violence, self-harm or cruelty;
- shares someone’s private information, or a photo or recording of them, without their permission;
- is spam, a scam, or tries to sell something;
- breaks the law, or encourages someone else to;
- uses words, pictures or sounds you don’t have the right to use.
Don’t use Friends to contact someone who has blocked you or asked you to stop, for example by making another account.
We check what you write for offensive words: the app checks a postcard’s note before it can be sent and your display name as you type it, and our server checks display names and report notes too. If you’ve turned on Sensitive Content Warning or Communication Safety on your device, the app also checks the pictures on postcards you receive with Apple’s on-device check, and a postcard that may show nudity arrives blurred until you choose to see it. Voice notes aren’t checked, and no filter catches everything, so if something reaches you that breaks these rules, please report it and block the sender.
Reporting and blocking
- Report any postcard you receive, or any friend, from the postcard’s or the friend’s menu. Choose a reason (spam, inappropriate, harassment, their profile picture, or something else) and add a note if you like. A reported postcard leaves your inbox at once.
- Block anyone from the same menus, or when you report them. Blocking removes them as a friend, hides every postcard between you on both sides, and stops them sending you anything or seeing you in Friends. They aren’t told.
- We review every report. Our aim is to act within 24 hours. We may remove the content, remove a profile photo, and hold or close the account of the person who broke these rules. We may contact the people involved by email.
- Automatic holds: if several different people report an account, it’s held while we review the reports. A held account can’t invite, accept invites, send postcards or change its photo. If we find no breach, we lift the hold.
- If we remove your content or hold or close your account, we tell you why by email, unless that would put someone at risk or the law forbids it.
- If you think we got it wrong, email support@madebyenki.com and we’ll look again.
You can also report abuse or illegal content to support@madebyenki.com. It’s our single point of contact for users and for authorities, including under the EU Digital Services Act, in English.
Your content
- You keep the rights to your postcards, notes, voice notes, name and photo.
- To run Friends, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, send and show your content to the people you send it to, and to review it when it’s reported. It’s only for running and protecting Friends. It ends when the content is deleted from our server, except for content kept with a report as our Privacy Policy describes.
- You’re responsible for what you send. Make sure you have the right to share it, including the photos you put on a postcard and anyone in them.
- Postcards you send are copied to your friend’s device. If you delete a postcard or your account, the copy on our server goes, but we can’t remove what a friend has already saved or shared.
- Postcards and voice notes are kept on our server for 12 months. Friends isn’t a place to store things you want to keep.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Friends account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete Account. It’s immediate and can’t be undone. It removes your profile, friends and every postcard and voice note you’ve sent or received from our server, as our Privacy Policy describes. Your passport stays on your device. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel Stamp Pro: that’s managed by Apple (below).
Stamp Pro
Stamp Pro is an optional subscription bought through the App Store. The app’s Stamp Pro screen shows what it includes.
- Prices: US$4.99 a month, or US$19.99 a year, or the local price shown in the App Store.
- Free trial: the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid yearly subscription and Apple charges you. You can have one free trial.
- Renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and Apple charges your Apple Account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or from the App Store. When you cancel, Stamp Pro stays until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue refunds ourselves.
- Family Sharing isn’t available for Stamp Pro.
- Price changes: if the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple requires it, asks you to agree before you’re charged the new price.
- We may change what Stamp Pro includes. We won’t take away a main feature during a period you’ve already paid for.
- Stamp Pro doesn’t need a Friends account and isn’t linked to one.
Places, borders and travel days
- Country and territory names and borders in Stamp are for a travel game. They don’t show a political position.
- Day counts, trip dates and stamps are a record for you. Don’t rely on them for visas, immigration, residency, tax or any legal purpose.
- The “About” texts come from Wikipedia under CC BY-SA, and town names from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0. They’re credited in the app and may contain mistakes.
Our app
- Stamp, its design, stamps, art, sounds and words belong to Enki Studios or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Stamp on Apple devices you own or control, as these terms and the Apple EULA allow.
- Don’t copy, sell or redistribute Stamp or its art. Don’t reverse engineer it, except where the law allows.
- Don’t use the Friends server except through the app. Don’t scrape it, overload it, test its security without our written permission, or get around its limits, blocks or holds.
- Cards and pictures you make in Stamp are yours to share for personal use.
Changes to Stamp
We may change, add or remove features, including Friends. We may end Friends altogether. If we do, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days before, where we reasonably can, and delete the data on our server as our Privacy Policy describes. Stamp may need a current version of iOS.
Disclaimers
Stamp is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will always work, be free of errors, be accurate, or keep your data safe from loss. Back up your device. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill.
- We aren’t responsible for what other people send you in Friends.
- Our total liability for all claims about Stamp is limited to the greater of what you paid for Stamp Pro in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Where the law where you live doesn’t allow a limit like these, that limit is reduced to what it does allow.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law, or send content you had no right to send, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, as far as the law allows. This section doesn’t apply to consumers in the EU or the UK.
Ending
- You can stop using Stamp at any time. Delete your Friends account in the app and cancel Stamp Pro with Apple.
- We may hold or close your Friends account if you break these terms, if someone may be harmed, or if the law requires it. Where it’s reasonable and safe, we’ll tell you why.
- The sections on your content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, disputes and governing law still apply after you stop.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. For a significant change, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, and we may ask you to agree again before you use Friends. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Stamp and delete your account.
Disputes
This section affects your rights. Please read it carefully.
- Talk to us first. Before starting a claim, email support@madebyenki.com with your name, what the dispute is about and what you want. We’ll try to settle it with you within 60 days.
- Arbitration. If we can’t settle it, you and we agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association’s Consumer Arbitration Rules, before one arbitrator, by video, phone or in writing where possible. If a hearing in person is needed, it will be in the county where you live or in Delaware, as you choose. Fees follow the AAA’s consumer rules. The Federal Arbitration Act applies to this section.
- Small claims and urgent orders. Either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, or ask a court to stop misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to Stamp.
- Only individual claims. Each of us may bring claims only for ourselves, never as part of a class, collective or representative action. If this rule can’t be enforced for a particular claim, a court, not an arbitrator, decides that claim.
- No jury. If a dispute goes to court, you and we both give up a trial by jury.
- Opting out. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms by emailing support@madebyenki.com with the subject “Arbitration opt-out”. Nothing else in these terms changes.
- EU and UK. If you live in the EU or the UK, this arbitration section and the class-action and jury waivers don’t apply to you, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
- Time limit. Start any claim within a year of when it arose. After that it’s too late, unless the law gives you longer.
Governing law
Delaware law (USA) governs these terms, whatever another place’s conflict-of-law rules would say. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the Disputes section. Any dispute that’s not arbitrated goes to the state or federal courts in Delaware, and you and we accept their jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the law where you live.
Apple
Stamp is distributed through Apple’s App Store, so these points also apply:
- Apple isn’t a party to these terms. Stamp and everything in it are our responsibility.
- Apple has no duty to maintain Stamp or to give you support for it. Support comes from us.
- If Stamp fails a warranty that applies to it, you may ask Apple for a refund of what you paid for Stamp, if anything. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, Apple owes no warranty for Stamp.
- Claims about Stamp are ours to deal with, not Apple’s: for example product liability claims, claims that Stamp breaks a law or regulation, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If someone says Stamp infringes their intellectual property, it’s for us, not Apple, to investigate the claim and to defend, settle or resolve it.
- You confirm you’re not in a country under a US Government embargo or that the US Government has named as supporting terrorism, and that you’re not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you as third-party beneficiaries once you accept them.
General
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- You can’t transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them if Stamp moves to another company, and we’ll tell you.
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Apple EULA are the whole agreement between you and us about Stamp.
